The Collective Society's Gala and Awards events to honor and recognize Halifax County Teachers of the Year.
The 2019 Enfield Gala and Awards Celebration on Saturday was amazing...it was more than we could have hoped for during our inaugural event to honor our Teachers and to present our Pinnacle and Legacy awards. This is more than an event; it also serves to bring awareness of the trials and tribulations that our teachers go through to educate and care for our children. It was also a fundraiser. Teachers more than any other working class often have to use their own funds to buy supplies, pay children's meals, help with books, among other things.
For our first year, we sat a goal to raise $1000, which we did. However, we know that this amount is not nearly enough. While the annual event takes place once a year, the fundraising goes on all year long. Give whatever you can, no matter what, help us reach our 2020 goal of $5000, "We are Stronger together".
